My namesake and insperation. From what I've heard, her personality was rather similar to mine. A bit hot-headed and stubborn, but also generous and kind.
The reason I have her holding a sheppard's staff is because one story tells how, as she was being ordained a nun, the preciding bishop accidentally read the rites for ordaining a bishop as well. Figuring the slip was an act of God, he let the matter slide. She then went on to found the dual monestary at Kildare. Half for monks and half for nuns.
